Mahopac National Bank partners with American Red Cross

Mahopac National Bank has formed a partnership with the American Red Cross as part of its continued effort to assist the communities it serves.

Twenty-one employees were formally trained to participate in the Red Cross program called Ready When the Time Comes. The program participants serve as a reserve task force who will be called upon when disaster response requires increased volunteer staffing to support major emergency relief efforts. As another hurricane season approaches, volunteers might be called into action for disasters such as large-scale floods or significant power outages, as local communities recently experienced after Hurricane Sandy.

"We hope community residents will take the opportunity to visit any of our branch offices throughout Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties during the week of June 17th, when we will be proudly sponsoring Emergency Readiness Week," said Gerald G. Klein Jr., bank president and CEO.
